A LIFE WORTH RESCUING

"A Life Worth Rescuing" is a new documentary that will showcase several animal welfare organizations in West Michigan dedicated to ending pet homelessness and improving the lives of dogs, cats, and their human companions.

Throughout the film, the heartfelt and hopeful stories of several dogs and cats will be told, following their journey from life in a shelter to finding their forever homes. The vital role that animal rescues and shelters play in reducing the number of pets in their care through adoption will be highlighted, along with the tireless efforts of the volunteers who dedicate their lives to this cause.

Rescues and organizations featured in the film include Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue, Saving Souls Pet Alliance, Fig & Friends Pet Rescue, and the inspiring efforts of K9 Camo Companions, an organization dedicated to training and transforming shelter dogs into companions for veterans.

The film will shine a light on the incredible work of the Bissell Pet Foundation and its lifesaving programs and initiatives aimed at addressing the pet overpopulation crisis in all 50 states. Through their pet adoption, spay/neuter, microchipping, and crisis-response transport programs, the Bissell Pet Foundation is reducing the number of pets in shelters and rescues, and giving thousands of animals the second chance they deserve.

"A Life Worth Rescuing" is set to begin filming later this year, with completion expected in 2027.
